Aloo Chaat - A mouthwatering easy chaat recipe that can be made in 10 to 15 minutes. Before making this dish first make ready Mint Chutney and Tamarind Chutney.
Recipe Ingredients
* Potatoes - 4
* Cooking Oil - For Frying
* Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
* Tamarind Chutney - 1/2 tbsp
* Mint Chutney - 1/2 tbsp
* Chaat Masala - 1 tsp
* Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
* Coriander Leaves (chopped) - hand full
* Salt to taste
Preparation
First boil the potatoes in a pressure cooker until two whistles. As they cool down a bit, peel the skin and cut them to medium size pieces.
Take a kadai(wok) and deep fry the potato pieces until they turn crisp and golden brown. Take out the fried potatoes and spread them on a tissue paper. This will soak the excess oil from them.
After 10 minutes, put the pieces in a bowl. Sprinkle red chilli powder, salt, chaat masala, cumin powder and mix thoroughly. Add tamarind chutney and mint chutney and mix again.
Garnish with Coriander leaves and your chaat is ready to serve.
