Aloo Bonda - Tasty and simple snack loved by all made with Besan and boiled potatoes.
Recipe Ingredients
* Potatoes - 1/2 kg
* Besan (Gram Flour) - 100g
* Cooking Oil - For deep frying
* Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tbsp
* Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Green Chillies (cut) - 2
* Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
* Salt to taste
Preparation
First boil the potatoes until three whistles. Let them cool down a bit then peel off the skin and mash thoroughly.
Add ginger garlic paste to mashed potatoes. In a pan heat oil(1 tbsp) in it. As the oil is hot add mustard seeds. As seeds starts crackling add red chilli powder and turmeric powder.
Put the above seasoning to the potatoes. Add green chillies and salt. Make small balls of the above mix and keep aside.
Take a bowl and prepare fine batter using besan and water. Now roll the potato balls into this batter and deep fry till golden brown. Prepare each bonda in similar fashion.
Serve hot along with coriander chutney.
